adobe generative extend is wrong, it says that 4096x2160 is 16:9 (it should be 4096x2304)

Generative extend gives an error and wants you to use 16:9 footage then it lists a 1.09:1 aspect ratio and rejects actual 16:9 footage giving an error that boldly claims 4096x2160 is 16:9.

This is really basic stuff Adobe. you should absolutely know what 16:9 relolutions are.

Generative Extend supports all 16:9 ratios (and 9:16) up to 4K UHD (3840x2160 and 2160x 3840). In addition it also supports 4096x2160- this is DCI 4K. It is additionaly supported beyond the 16:9 limitation because lots of users use this format for cinema. The first requirement in that list is 16:9. Then they list 4096x2160 as if it's 16:9. and not 1.9:1. Add an asterisk or a footnote or the actual aspect ratio or a real 4k 16:9 resolution and not a TV specification, or at least accommodate both. Honestly anything other than a convoluted message and incorrect documentation would be helpful. Is Adobe running out of space for web pages and error messages? That's the only reason i can see that would prevent someone from listing an additional, supported case with an additional supported aspect ratio and resolution that is absolutely not 16:9

Hey, thanks for your enthusiasm on these details. We can talk to folks about adding an asterisk. I think the main use cases where this difference is noticeable would be when looking at 4K gaming resolution (4096x2304) versus 4K camera footage (4096x2160). Are you editing gameplay footage?

It is odd, but they are clear on what "4K" resolutions they support - UHD and the more common "Cinema 4K." But they list only 16:9/9:16 aspect ratio, which appears incorrect. See "What are the current media requirements to use Generative Extend" on this page:
