Adobe Premier Pro vs 23.00 no audio and pref 'ok' button won't ok

Trying really hard not to go crazy.  Ensured APPro preferences are set to read/write permissions.  In AP I imported my video which has audio.  Video and graphic of audio shows in timeline.  Press play and audio graphs channels show audio in play mode.  NO SOUND...  

Went to preferences in APP/audio harware/ Device is CoreAudio correct:  System Default- input and output MOTU UltraLite mk3 Hybrid:  correct.   Output Mapping: ADobe Desktop Audio: correct.   Tried to click settings button.  hover works but nothing else ie no link anywhere.  Tried pressing OK.  OK button turns white, but won't ok or close audioharware pref window.  MAC Pro Late 2013 OS Montery.  I was told APPro would work.  ANY IDEAS???????????????????????????????????????????
