Adobe Premier Takes Incredibly Long to Export Videos; crazy lag

I'm having a really hard time with Adobe Premier, I have some projects that I've been trying to export but every time I try and export them the wait time can be up to 24 hours long. I have even waited that long a couple of times but every time my computer still fails to export them even after the long wait. Sometimes it will say that I need up to 9 GB available for one video, but I don't even have that much space on my entire computer, Also, the lag on my computer when editing projects is insane. Sometimes it can take up to a minute for my cursor to respond to my touch. I do work with some 4k footage, but it's not like my computer is 10 years old, it should be able to handle it. And I try to keep my effects and filters at a minimum, but it's inhibiting my performance. I literally just don't know what to do, any advice is welcome. Here are my computer specs: Processor: 1.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i3, Memory: 8 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X.

    Yes, why are my videos so big then? Is there a way I can make them smaller somehow?

    Even if you make the file size smaller, you really need at least 100 GB free space for temp and system files.

    What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

    That computer is not powerful enough to run Premiere Pro properly.

      Interesting, thank you. Given that my computer is what I'm working with, how can I still make it run properly? And if worse comes to worst, what computer would you recommend? What computer do you have if you use Adobe Premier?
