Adobe Premiere Clip on Iphone. Importing my own luts.

I bought some luts (.cube files) from Visioncolor and was wondering how I would get them onto premiere clip so I can use them.  I want to edit imported canon dslr footage (cinestyle) on my IPad and also use the visioncolor luts (they work pretty good with cinestye).  I would like to do this so that I can skip using a computer all together and just plug my DSLR into my IPad, do a quick edit, and a choice of lut so that the footage is not flat.

I have tried converting the 3d luts into .look files using speedgrade, and importing into into adobe assets. But Adobe Clip does not see the files.

I was just wanting advice on the easiest way to use these luts in Adobe clip.  I have tried to find tutorials on this or forums but I have found nothing. Any info would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Oops ... you said you'd created Look file in Sg ... sorry for then suggesting you do so! My bad.

Going through the answer section on the Clip product page, it looks like you use the Adobe Libraries functionality to get Looks into Clip. So ... those Look files you created in SpeedGrade, import them into PrPro and put 'em in the Library there ... sync to your cloud account ... and I'd guess you'd be able to access them from the Library in Clip.

Hey Neil thanks for taking the time to research and answering my question. Much appreciated.  I decided to use another app called video lut. It seems a lot easier to use and there are more options regarding the grade. Thanks again.

Was fun looking things up. Clip, like the other Adobe mobile apps, is designed to share things via the Libraries function. Which works pretty slick actually. Sadly, they put SpeedGrade on hiatus a couple releases back, and aren't putting any further effort into development, so it never got the Libraries functionality. Ergo, to make LUTs into Looks in SpeedGrade, is fine ... but then you need to use say PrPro to import those Looks & move them to the Library ... then sync to your Adobe Cloud account, then the Look will appear in Clip.

You could also apply one of those LUTs on a "clean" video clip in PrPro using the Lumetri (Color) workspace, then from the little 3-line menu icon at the top of the Lumetri tab, export as a Look ... import into the Library ... sync ... rinse & repeat.

Tell me about video LUT ... please? I see it in the Android store, but am curious as to how it's working for you.

Here's the link to the Premiere Clip forum ...

Premiere Clip

Not that many folks here have much experience with Clip ... I've just looked at it, never really used it.

Here's the "info" page ...

Video editing app for iOS, Android | Adobe Premiere Clip

On that page, they mention using Capture (another mobile app from Adobe I use a LOT) to make Looks to apply with Clip ... so maybe in SpeedGrade you need to export Look files ... maybe that will work, but I haven't tried it myself. I do know the Look files created with Capture will work within Clip, but I don't really know the workflow.
