Adobe Premiere Keeps Freezing

So I am trying to use Adobe Premiere for some video editing and I cant get it to playback most of the time or even scrub video. I am pretty sure its probably due to not having a good graphics card, but I am wondering if there is any way around this, so I can get my videos edited.

Intel HD graphics 4600

16 Gig Ram

Intel core I5 4200m 2.5 Ghz

That GFX card is really holding you back. 4k footage is going to be murder on that machine. You can try creating proxies: Basic Premiere Pro editing workflow

I recommend the proxy workflow as well.  Use the included Cineform presets.

    Hi jakeby4924258,

Thanks for sharing the information. As suggested by jeffb94256237, use proxies for better performance or reduce the playback resolution to minimum in program monitor.

Please check if the GPU drivers are up-to-date.

    Thanks,

    Vidya.
