Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 - Freezes when deleting clips

Hi,

I've had the trial for about a week now. It's worked well for my first two videos. But yesterday, when I started editing, Adobe became a bit slow. And the main problem is when I'm trying to delete clips it freezes. It will stay frozen for about 3-10 minutes. When it resolves itself I can continue editing for about 1-3 minutes, before it freezes on a random new clip I delete.

Does anyone have a solution to this? I have a completely new computer, so that shouldn't be an issue. I have tried to clear cache, but that didn't do anything. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall, but that didn't help either.

Is the SSD the only hard drive?

What is your hard drive setup (how many, what kind, what is on each, and how full)?

I don't want to use older drivers (and I don't know how to do that either).

I tried opening a new project and edit. At first it was much quicker and everything was fine for like 5-10 minutes. Then I had to close adobe. And when I opened it again after a few minutes the same problem started happening again. I don't know what to do.

Try using older video drivers.

I already have the latest driver, so it isn't that.

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear about this. We would need more info to troubleshoot the issue properly. Please let us know the system specifications (OS, CPU, GPU and RAM) and the location where the media files are saved (internal/external/network drive). We're here to help, just need more info.

Thanks,

Sumeet
