Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 freezes after startup while loading media

At some point my Premiere keeps crashing and freezing after startup "spinning wheel" after opening a project i was working on a while. Media has not been loaded yet (questionmark signs)

If I open an empty project (works without issues) and then open the project I´m working on it starts fine and media will be loaded.

Had this issue already with Premiere Pro 2021.

heya, I just wanted to confirm that my best workaround to this problem is also to open an empty project first, and then to load the actual project I'm working on.

 

Premier 2022 (+heavy After Effects usage)

maxed out Intel iMac 2020 (don't judge, it's fast and cheap and who has $9k to $45k for a Mac Pro?!)

OSX Big Sur 11.6.8

Hi David,

 

We're sorry about the poor experience. Please try these steps & check if it helps.

  • Create a new project & navigate to Window > Workspaces.
  • Uncheck Import Workspace from Projects.
  • Navigate to File > Import & import the project file you were working with.
  • Once the file is imported, save this new project & check if it's working properly.

Hey Sumeet,

 

unfortunately that doesn´t solve this problem. I tested to delete all dynamic linked AE comps and the project opens as it should. Opening AE first before opening the PR project doesn´t make any difference and the issue occurs again. So it´s a dynamic link problem. Is there any solution?
