Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 won’t launch

Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 stopped working and won’t launch. I’ve tried restarting my PC, but the issue persists. I reinstalled the software, updated to the latest version (2025), installed the latest video driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 2070, and restarted my PC (Windows 10 Pro 64-bit). Despite all this, the program still won’t launch, and I keep getting an error window.

What can I do? I’m paying a lot for this application and urgently need it to work!

I just checked the driver for GTX 1070, and it's showing 566.36, so you should be using the latest driver.

Hi !

Given that the use of any driver with your GPU causes a crash seems like an indication of a hardware problem of your GPU. It might make senes to swap this for a different model any try if this resolves the issue. (this would also explain the sudden nature of it failing - as it might have experienced physical damage to its GPU itself or its components on the board, eg through thermal damage.

Hi @Artem359341665ztl - Can you let us know which Nvidia driver you are using?  To update your GPU driver you need the Nvidia control app.  If you are using the RTX Geforce 2070 GPU then you will need to download the Studio Driver version which is currently 566.36

Hi All, here is update:

I contacted the customer support guy who was connected to my PC and we tried all.

At the end the issue looks like with Video Card driver - I have NVIDIA GeForce 2070 - as whe we in display adapter selected the standard Microsoft Basic adapter -then application works (both 2024 and 2025) but with any driver version (from Dec or from Aug 2024) - both Premier pro 2024 and 2025 do not launch! This is a bit strange as it used to work perfectly fine few montyh back. So the responce I get is to contact NVIDEA for this issue. So at the moment issue is not really resilved (as I can not work with other applications with basic microsoft driver)...

Hi @Artem359341665ztl - Please click the checkbox in the crash dialog box that says "Adobe may contact me for fixes and workarounds" and then enter your email so that we can look up in our system what is going on.

Do you see the dialog which asks for multiple other options to troubleshoot like the ones shown in this tutorial?

Dear Alexander, thank you for your prompt responce. When I hold the ctrl or Shift and Run the application - it is all the same. How can I access the cache and disable plugins? As I said, I reinstalled my previous 2024 version and then uploaded the latest 2025 (still a problem). Does it mean that when I reinstalled the 2024 version - all cache has been deleted as well? See the screen below with the error window.

Thank you for this report.

Can you try holding ctrl/shift when starting Premiere Pro and choose to delete the cache and disable all plugins? If this does not help you can also reach out to customer support for an agent to dial into your machine to find the root cause.

Best regards,

 Alexander
