Hi,

I'm using Asus gtx 1070 Dual as my gpu. When I am working on Adobe after effects and premiere pro, the experience is not smooth. I am experiencing same as when I didn’t have a GPU. Task Manager also showing the GPU usage is 0-2/3%. I have activated the CUDA acceleration from project settings and all drivers are updated. I use adobe encoder for rendering and also there is the same problem.

My System is-

Windows 10 64bit OS Desktop

Intel Core i7 6600

Asus Z170 Pro gaming Motherboard

32GB corsair ram @3000MHz

Asus GTX 1070 GPU

Cooler master 650w PSU

Also, I want to make sure you understand the GPU usage in Premiere. The GPU is not a general-purpose CPU's assistant, but only works on things that are on the GPU Accelerated Effects List, and major frame-size changes, and as the CPU sends data to the GPU.

    GPU Accelerated Effects: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/effects.html

Many people expect the GPU to be churning away full-tilt during playback and exports, but ... that's not often the case. Unless you've got a fair amount of continuous GPU accelerated effects, and the CPU/RAM sub-sytem is strong enough to keep powering through things and sending what's GPU work to the GPU ... the may not be called on to do that much.

So ... we need to know what effects you're using also.

And just checking ... if your number is correct ... that's a moderately slow 2 core CPU ... which would not have the horses to feed that much to a 1070.

What is your hard drive setup (how many, what kind, what is on each, and how full)?
