Adobe Premiere Project File Greyed Out

This is getting real old.... going back to numerous project files trying to open them and they are greyed out. I can't access last save files unless they happen to be in my "recent" catergory when I open the program. After making some pretty big changes, this is ridiculously frustrating. Has anyone found a work around for this? I am baffled as to why Adobe has not corrected this yet...

      Temporary fix until either Adobe or Apple figure it out: 

       

      Release them via this: Open Terminal and type: xattr -d com.apple.FinderInfo dragged-and-dropped-file and return. Bam, file is released and behaves normally.

          I don´t really understand what you mean when you write that the project files are greyed out. 

           

          The best way to open old project files is to create a brand new project in the current Premiere Pro version and then import the old project file into the new project. By doing this you can open verly old projects without issues.

          Per the pictures above, I opened this project a fewdays ago on the current version of Premiere (same thing happens in AE) and I am unable to select my last saved project. I am forced to go back in the auto-save folder to choose an older file. If I made heavy changes right before I saved and exited the program, they are not saved.

            That seems to be an issue tied to your OS. Hopefully some Mac-guy can chime in here. 🙂

             

            Are those files placed on any cloud service/drive?

            did this happen after a recent update? you can still switch projects back to a previous working version,

            if you haven't done any additional editing yet..

            What are your system specs and which version of Premiere are you on?

            try to reset the preferences, see if that helps...

            Tip: never switch projects to a newer version before meeting your current deadline 

            and getting all your projects done and backed up... you can always have multiple 

            versions installed by the way...
