Adobe software crashing at launch - suspect: Adobe Application Manager

Hello my issue started a few weeks ago where I was having a problem updating my creative cloud. The client was stuck at 2% stating that Adobe Application Manager is running so it was unable to continue; but the process was nowhere to be found, definitely not in activity monitor. I searched online and saw that more people faced the same or similar problem but could not find any solutions.

Trying to update to the new CC2018 yesterday made things worse. I could not update or uninstall anything as this process was still running somehow giving me error 82/P82. After finally managing to uninstall and re-install everything more than 4-5 times (with someone from the tech team of my company) nothing changed. Premiere kept bouncing for a millisecond and disappearing with nothing actually happening.

So then they wiped out my macbook - in case there was a file somewhere that did not go away - and even then after installing the creative cloud agent and downloading Premiere, again the same bounce and disappear act. Tried to download CC2017, just in case, and the same thing happens. Also with After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator etc. Only Media Encoder launches for some reason.

I have a licensed version of the Adobe studio, using Macbook pro 2015, 2,8GHz, 16GB RAM, Intel Iris Pro 1536MB  running Sierra

This is really frustrating cause I'm behind my work and none of us can understand what the problem is. I was running CC2017 two days ago with no issues and I'm surprised that even after a wipe out this persists.

Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening and can suggest any solutions?

Thank youu

Nikolas
