inside after effects go to Edit - Purge - All Memory and Disk Cache.

Inside Premiere Pro clean your media cache and delete all render files, then trash the preferences again.

since the font is switching to bold on playback inside premiere, is your playback resolution set to 'Full'?

you mentioned before that the lower thirds do not appear on the monitor, are you working on GPU Acceleration

or Software Only inside Premiere Pro? Try switching renderers and test the performance if it makes any difference.

You can save the hassle of Dynamic Link and export those lower thirds as mogrts from After Effects.

you can import and edit those mogrts inside Premiere Pro's Essential Graphics.

Let me know if you still need any help

I had tried everything you suggested except making the lower third a template.  I spent a long time trying to sort this out, doing every variation and combination of the suggestions I could think to do.  What I could recreate every time was when I touched the Dynamic Linked lower third, even just trying to delete it, it would freeze Premiere.  I thought it might be the AE project, so I made a new lower third project (which was actually a good idea because I made it animate a little nicer).  I kept getting the same thing so I finally tried the template option but it still didn't look right in Premiere.  I ended up removing Premiere and reinstalling it.  That appears to have fixed everything.  Thank you Carlos and Christian for your help.  I really appreciate it.
