After applying LUT in material shot in Alexa, colours appear too bright and saturated

LUTs are created with an expected input color space and an intended output color space. Anytime you get harsh or bad results with a LUT unexpectedly, it’s usually because one of those color spaces are not matching up.

Your LUT, for example, might be expecting the material to be in the Alexia’s Arri logC color space. Modern versions of Premiere use a color management system that can detect this color space and color manage it into your working space (often Rec. 709). So then if you apply your LUT to a clip that’s already color managed into Rec. 709, you get an effect of sort of “double managing” the clip.

You can opt specific clips out of color management by right clicking on the clip in the Project panel, choosing Modify > Color and then checking “Preserve RGB”. This removes the clip from the input color management, meaning it stays in the Arri logC space and then your LUT should look better on it.
