Hi, has anyone also problems after switching to premiere 2019 with a cuda graphic card? I have the geforce gt 750 ti and it works great using premiere 2018, but cuda is not working anymore after the update to 2019.

Best,

Martin

As Stan Jones stated, CC 2019 now requires 4GB or more graphics RAM just to even enable CUDA or OpenCL GPU acceleration at all. Unfortunately, no GTX 750 Ti came with more than 2GB of RAM. Thus, with that card Premiere's renderer will be "permanently" locked to the software-only mode.

Oddly, my 2GB GTX 760 shows as enabled, and I just used a version of PPBM to run the H.264 test, which has hardware on. I was getting errors on it in 2018.

Task manager shows about 1.7 of the 2 GB in use, and a small amount of 12GB of "shared" memory. (total 2.5/14). CPU (older i7) at 60-100%.

The test completed successfully.

NVIDIA has publicly released windows ODE drivers that support the CUDA 9.2 SDK used in the latest release of Premiere Pro. This is not the Microsoft default driver, but you can download this driver directly from NVIDIA, Version 411.63 (of the 410 series drivers): NVIDIA DRIVERS Quadro Desktop/Quadro Notebook Driver Release 410 WHQL

and check the requirements released by Adobe here:

Good info. Also an older card: GTX 760. I just reinstalled Win 10, and the default driver added by windows was 388.13 - does not even appear on the page of available downloads from Nvidia. Just before the reinstall, I had updated to the latest, which was 411.63. I now updated to the latest, 416.34 - did not even realize it was different.

Hardware acceleration enabled under all conditions so far, now with PR 2019. So I'll see how it runs with this driver.

But the 760 is only 2GB of memory, and the PR minimum requirement is now 4. I'll have to run some tests...

Did you try to update the graphic card driver ?
