After Update Premiere Pro is not Functioning Correctly

After this recent update to Premiere Pro everything seems to be freezing or crashing.

Before everything was nice and smooth and I had no problems with content

now everything is freezing and I can't preview a video with out it crashing Premiere Pro or

stalling the program then playing a little bit then again stalling.

I'm running the latest versions of MacOS and my MacbookPro has decent specs.

Anyone else having issues?

jalvi,

Is this a project you updated or a new project. If it's one you updated, follow Neil's advice and return to the version the project was created with.

Thanks,
Kevin

Having similar issues here. Seems like jumping on a major update of Premiere Pro immediately is almost always a bad idea. Stick with CC 2018.

Professional due diligence, eh?

I always have around three previous versions installed. New one comes out, I'll create new projects in it, then from those, navigate to/import previous project file's assets. Which works better for reliability than just "opening" them in the new version.

And ... if things aren't working good, just keep going in the previous version.

Some are, most aren't.

In your case, I would suggest going back to the 2018 version and keep working. They'll have another version to fix a few more things in a while. One release a couple years back, I had to stay on the previous version for over four months until a bug affecting me was fixed. Didn't stop getting work done though. Just used the prior release.
