All files missing but my project still opens and functions

Alright my issue is all of my files are gone. I can open up the current version of premier and go to recent projects and open over 7 versions of my project. I can edit everything and my proxies seem to be intact. My color correction is present. I can look at the file location and go to it and there is nothing. I'm working on a mac formatted drive on Windows ten with macdrive.  I've been using the same hardware and software for a significant amount of time.

What could have caused this anomaly?

    If your files were really gone you would not be able to edit. All clips would have been red (offline).
