All media files in premeire pro are washed out

I have been using premiere pro for months with no issues. Last week I made a video for work and it worked perfectly. Monday I go to start a new project and upload my files, and they all appear washed out. Im uploading 4k videos from my iPhone as I've done for every other project. Even plugging in old video files it does the same thing. I tried overriding the colour to every type reccomended online and nothing worked. I'm so confused because nothing has changed with my computer since last week, it should be working the same as it was. Does anyone know what's going on? Thank you!!

It's all about color management.

Color management in Premiere Pro

When asking a question, post OS, Premiere version/build and comp specs.

Do you know why it would have changed since last week? I'm not an expert with this stuff so I just want it to go back to how it was haha

You may have had an update of Premiere, or you may have had different settings pop up in your phone. "We" can't know of course.

But CM is simply something you must learn to manage now as there are more options than before.

So look at Ann's link and start getting a handle on this. It isn't going away.

Some suggested settings are go to the CM controls, all found in the Lumetri panel's Settings tab, the tab named Settings.

Set color management on, auto detect log and auto tonemapping on, set sequence to "direct Rec.709" ... and that would probably be the simplest way for you at first.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
