Sorry about the issue. As a user, it's a bummer when things change unexectedly. 

 

That said, I'm amazed that you've used this for four years, but ... don't have a clue about the main menu system? So here's a pic ...

 

This is the menu system to choose a workspace, or ... as shown here ... to reset to saved layout. Or the other options, which you may or may not need.

Have you tried the workspace menu option, reset workspace?

 

And was this with a custimized, renamed and saved workspace?

I have no idea what you are even talking about. I have no formal Adobe training, I learned how to use this program for work the past 4 years, I pay for it out of my own pocket as I'm a self employed estimator. 

All due respect, but the entire layout just changed on Wednesday in the middle of my workday, and I am livid about this. I hate this program and company right now.
