All of a sudden, all footage from single camera playing back in source tab but not in Program tab.

I've been editing a set of 4 videos that include shots from a cannon DSLR at FHD @ 29.97 FPS and a DJI camera at FHD @ 240 FPS. These shots were coppied over into folders on my computer's document folder.

These shots were brought into my project runnning at a default 29.97 FPS and have been working flawlessly for a few months now. Yesterday, i logged on and all of the shots from the the dji camera no longer play back correctly. Some will only have a single frame, others might only show two or three frames over the course of the clip.

When I pull up these clips in the source tab, they playback fine. When I take the playhead and slowly drag it over the clips, i can see the frames change but I cannot see them when I try and play it back. When I play these clips from my document folder, they play fine.

The one thing I have found out is that when I link the SD card from the DJI, i can play the slo mo clips in the project that will not play the clips stored on my computer.

This is throwing me for a loop so any help would be really appreciated!

Media cache has been cleared, drivers updated, etc.

Mac or PC?

Does the 'etc' include resetting your preferences? (Hold down shift while you start PP). Did you create a new project and import some of the non-playing clips into it? Do delete the cache before you do that.

Hey @Laurence37635792at85 , I'm glad that worked to get you back to work.

It's not an uncommon solution to PP's issues. When it starts acting strange, it's possible the preference file does get corrupted. Also, the 'cache' adobe keeps for your clips. Deleting those helps at times also. It's recommended to delete the cache with every update. That is also available from the start PP with shift held down dialog.

I'm glad you are here on the forum, check it out on occasion or even more often, to get valuable tips and tricks and to also help others when you feel like it. 🙂

Hi MyerPj.

PC. I did create a new project and imported some of the clips to confirm. I had not cleared preferences by holding shift on startup. That seems to have worked!

Based on my problem, would you be able to guess at why that worked for my education?

Thank you very much for such a simple fix. This was driving me up a wall.
