All of the sudden I cannot open Premiere Pro—MSVCP140_ATOMIC_WAIT.DII error

Question

I have had no issues with Premiere Pro and not, this week, every time I try to open it on my PC I get the attached error:

The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140_ATOMIC_WAIT.DII was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled Premiere Pro several times now. I am not sure what else to do. Please help!

As far as I know, the MS at the beginning stands for Microsoft

That is a Microsoft problem, so you need a Microsoft solution
Go to the Search bar at the top of http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/ to find and re-install the C runtime, or for ALL Windows help
