ALT key to edit/trim footage

Hi guys,

I don't know if any of you use the ALT key on your keyboard to edit your footage, but I always use it to ripple edit footage and/or roll edit.

For some reason, this stopped working for me since yesterday and I don't know why. Since I just recently updated my Premiere CC to the latest one a few days ago, I thought it might be the cause, but i'm not entirely sure.

For a note, the alt key still works for other things, i.e. individual selection of linked footage, on the shortcut window, etc. it's just not registering for these ripple edit and roll edit tool.

I've tried selecting the footage, deselecting everything, turning on/off the active video/audio layer, but nothing works. Please help, it's very frustrating to me, because i'm so use to do this to edit.

Thank you very much for your time reading this and help.

Regards,

-Handy
