Always getting lost work scares

I save my project obsesivly but sometimes it just opens nonsense like a single nested sequence

Premier has incredible capability, but I'm constantly on the verge of losing tens of hours of work over simple little things like I think I save my nested sequence as my actual project, and I go to open it and it's just a nested sequence (even though the file size says same as project)  or the auto save will just randomly ( prob not randomly but) change places or just not save, or the project will get saved somehow as the name of a random file within the project.  I just lost an hour of work which is nbd but I'm constantly sweating whenever I have to open a project.  .
