Animating Stills

Hello!

Here is what I'd like to do:

1. Import a still image into Premier, and give it a black background.

2. Select a portion of that image.

3. Simultaneous progressions:

  • Brighten and zoom in on selected part of image.
  • Fade the rest of the image to black.

I am brand new to Adobe Premier, so any help is much appreciated! And the more specific the better.

Thanks! And thank you to everyone on here who has already helped me.

    Hi AliciaR,

You can achieve this with the Masking & Tracking feature of Premiere Pro.

Masks let you define a specific area in a clip that you want to blur, cover, highlight, apply effects, or color-correct.
