Another framerate question

Hi, just wondered is there any difference between these two ways:

1. Create a Sequence that is 25fps. Insert 50 fps footage. Change footage speed to 50%.

2. Create a Sequence that is 50fps. Insert 50fps footage. Change footage speed yo 50%.

thanks in advance.

Of those two options, I'd probably take the first.

But really ... I would probably choose to right-click the clip in the bin, Modify/Interpret Footage and tell it to assume 25fps.

Basically its trial and error.

Not all scenario work equally well.

Is this actual 50fps progressive, or is it 50i ... 50 interlaced? The first is actually 50 frames per second. The later is 50 half-frames per second, or ... really ... 25fps split into upper & lower.
