Question

Any way to mass conversion of a fill color in a timeline?

I have lots and lots of AE graphics that I need to change to a different color for a brand conversion by my publisher. Is there any way to do this without going one at a time though my timelines? (I'd be very happy if I could even do it one timeline at a time).

Here is a short explainer video with what I mean.

That sounds like a job much more suited for After Effects. In After Effects you can link them all to a single color controller and change the color there. With Essential Graphics you can even have a single setup but have different colors of that setup wherever that comp is placed. I don't know how familiar you are with AE but getting to know enough to do the above can save tons of hours for a lot of generic motion design work.

Is that something I'd be able to apply to a PR project? I do all my "course" work in PR because I think it's much more suited to that kind of video. If AE would help me fix myu PR timelines, that would give me another excuse to learn AE (I'm guessing not).

I would recommend looking in to dynamic linking AE project compositions to Premiere Pro. That way you can keep editing in Premiere for all other stuff and have a live link to the AE project and do your motion design updates there. Getting that nailed down plus the basics of motion design, how to work with shapes and text and basic animation where applicable is a good start. I don't know of any good resources to dive into it but there are plenty tutorials on Youtube of course.
