Question

Any way to move the subtitles track to be underneath other video tracks??

Hi there,

Recently Premier Pro updated to have a new way of working for subtitling where .srt tracks are added above all video tracks.

My question is, is there any way to move this subtitles track below the other video tracks?

I use transitions that animate over the subtitles, but I'm unable to do this now that the subtitles track is in front of all other videos tracks.

Thank you in advance!

Captions are not part of video as you can export them in various 'hidden' ways. If you want captions to behave as titles, you'll need to create them using a essential graphics.

Thank you for your response,

Prior to the Premier Pro 15 update, caption .srt files were able to be dragged into the video track, and could behave as any other video track. Has the ability to do this been completely removed with this new subtitles update? And would there be any other way to get round it other than using essential graphics?

Thank you in advance.
