Anyone else having problems with .avi files in the new April update?

My project has .avi files that I must use in an edit that is due for release ASAP and since I updated, all my .avi files won't playback.

Support, please let me know your solution. As Lemongrab would say, this is unacceptable!

Welp, Adobe support just wrote back to me:

AVI is no longer supported due to Apple dropping support of 32-bit QuickTime moving forward. Supported QuickTime 64-bit files for 12.1 and later are here: https://adobe.ly/2uMMaK3 Sorry for the frustration. Thx, ^KM

Sucks.

Avi does not use QT.

Upload a clip for testing.

If I were you I would go back and finish project in previous version asap.

Then update and figure out why its not working.

Thanks Ann.

I am open to that. But how do I go back a version? And I already saved my project to reflect the update.

This all so unsettling, even After Effects won't support .avi now either.
