Applying Noise/Grain FX to a video

Hey guys!

I'm having trouble getting my noise fx to apply to my video upon exporting the project to its final form.

It is the only fx I have applied to the video.

The FX is present in the preview window.

Iv tried Applying it directly to the video clip.

iv tried it nested and not. 

I have tried to look online, in the fourms, on youtube however the only things that come up are to REDUCE noise and im trying to add it. I'm rather new to all of this so some guidence would be great!
