Are AIFF and ASND a container or a codec?

source: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/supported-file-formats.html

There is a description about AIFF, but English is not my mother language, I am confusing about the description below.

And I googled "ASND”but have no answer.

Thanks a lot!

Hi there,

Both AIFF and ASND file formats. You can find info about AIFF here.

ASND format is a non-destructive audio file format, native to Adobe Soundbooth. ASND files can contain audio data with effects that can be modified later. Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Sumeet
