Question

Are Premiere Pro Training Tutorials Outdated?

Hello-

Just started the training tutorials and what she is teaching is not the same as what I am seeing. I cannot make it far because options and visuals seem very different.

Are the trainings outdated?

When you say "training tutorials," I wonder if you're talking about the ones in Premiere Pro in the Learning workspace.

It would be hard not to have some tutorials that are out of date. For example, in the captioning/text-based editing workflows, there have been major changes almost every major, and even minor, releases. In the Learning workspace in PR, there is a tutorial on Text-Based Editing. I do not see anything that tells you what version it was made for. But from the screenshots, I can see that it is probably the version when that feature was introduced (23.4). Compared to the current 25.2.3, there are numerous changes to the user interface. But you can follow along, and for the steps I looked at, nothing would interfere with a basic understanding of the process.

As Bill says, what specific tutorial are you looking at? We can give some guidance on whether it is too outdated to be of value.

Which tutorials are you looking at?  Generally speaking, most tutorials are accurate except for any very recent updates or changes.   What specifically is the mismatch?  Can you post some screen shots to help figure it out?
