Question

Artifacts on Graphics upon export

Working on a project right now in Premiere 14.0.1 that involves a decent amount of graphics. Went to export my video (roughly 8min long) and each time I exported two areas in the video where graphics are shown on the screen are exported with severe glitches and artifacts that are not there during playback in premiere. (For some context, I am primarily using the Legacy Text tool for text and simple lines on the screen and creating all the graphics in Photoshop). I have tried exporting using 3 different render options through Media Encoder as well as exporting straight through premeire. In the example below, you will see the artifacts im talking about. For this example I just used the Legacy Title tool for the lines and used the crop funtion to reveal the lines. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

Since it's looking fine while you're working in Premiere Pro, try exporting with the Match Sequence Settings button enabled.

If you've rendered Previews, go ahead and enable Use Previews as well.

Assuming that that renders as expected, you can add that to the Queue tab in Adobe Media Encoder and continue from there .

When in Adobe Media Encoder, "Match Source - High Bit Rate" and "Match Source - Adaptive High Quality" usually maintain picture quality.

I've seen issues when using elements from Legacy Titler that have a mask applied ... but not your problem 😞

However - a possible workaround to try: nest the Legacy Title elements and then apply the crop reveal to the nested clip.

If you still have issues try using an animated mask instead of the crop tool.

Are you on a MacBook Pro 16 inch? Perhaps try switching to the OpenCL or Software Only as the 'renderer' in your 'project settings'.

Premiere is now up to version 14.03 - might be worth updating. Though never a good idea to update in the middle of a project.
