Audio clicks introduced when in Premiere

We shoot RED Weapon Helium 8K and edit in Premiere.  We noticed in the last year that our footage has audio "clicks" or "ticks" both in source and in the timelines in Premiere.  And these "clicks" are not in preview- they are burned-in media, and very present when we encode out files.  We began troubleshooting our camera setup because the audio "clicks" were consistent in all our Premiere edit bays.  Because it was consistent, we sent the cameras to RED thinking it was a camera problem but they couldn't find the issue.  We finally got wise and decided to check the source in other applications- RED Player, RED Cine and DaVinci.  The audio "clicks" aren't there in those applications.  So we have come to the conclusion that the audio "clicks" are being introduced by Premiere during ingestion.  And this, my friends, is not acceptable.

Has anybody else have this problem are facing something similar?

What are the properties of the source files?

What are your sequence settings?

What are your Export settings?

What OS?
