Question

Audio clip volume has a mind of it's own

I'm experiencing a weird bug in which any audio clip that I highlight in the timeline automatically turns itself up to maximum volume (15db) seemingly of its own accord and it wont let me bring the volume level back down to a comfortable or safe volume again. I'm primarily working with audio so i can't work around this at all. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

I also got an error messege last night saying "a serious error has occured" and then it force closed (except it didn't even succesfully force close, I had to turn off my Mac completely because it wouldn't close).

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

Unfortunately, despite trying all of the above I'm still experiencing the problem. I have also uninstalled the app and reinstalled it twice today hoping it might relieve the problem.

I'll provide some more details:

I'm using the most up to date version of premeire (version 14.8.0) on Mac Mojav (version 10.14.6). I'm using a 2019 iMac with 3.2 GHz intel core i7 processor, 32 GB memory

I'm attatching a screen recording and crash logs from earlier to show you what's happening. It makes no difference what project or which source material I use, the problem is the same regardless of what footage i'm working with.
