AUDIO Custom Effects presets don't maintain their settings when saved together in one preset.

• Issue: When making a custom effects preset which includes multiple effects and their settings, the effects are applied but their settings are not.
• Steps to Reproduce: In my case, I’m working with an audio only file/ track. I’m trying to put a dynamics effect and a parametric equalizer effect with custom settings for each into one effects preset. so I’ll apply both effects to an audio track and adjust their settings to my needs. I’ll then ctrl click the root level of each effect in the effect controls panel and follow that with a right click and save preset. I’ll leave at default type of ‘scale’ and click ok. When dragging the effect preset onto another audio only track, the effects apply but their settings don’t. they are just default and empty.
• Expected Result: The effects should apply AND retain their custom settings.
• Actual Result: effects apply with default/ empty settings
• Premiere Version: premiere pro 26.3.2 build 2
• Operating System: win 11 pro, 10.026200 build 26200
• GPU Driver (Windows only): 32.0.15.8195

• Helpful Context I am able to make a custom preset with one effect and it’s settings at a time. The problem takes place when involving more than one effect for the final preset.

Google has suggested I include a default effect like motion or opacity in my preset to force it to recognize the internal settings. Since this is audio only, I tried including volume and that did not help. Google has indicated this has worked in previous version but I don’t have the experience to back that up, although the video at this link suggests is was working at least one year from the creation of this post.

 

P.S. Edit:

I have successfully created a custom multi-effect preset with it’s settings following the exact same steps I did before. I’m not sure what changed if anything. I still can’t do it to one of my tracks though. It won’t even receive a copy/ paste of the effects. The only differences with this specific track are that it has custom fade effects applied to the front and back of the clip and its default volume effect has been replaced in a previous attempt to get it to work. If there are any other differences, they are imperceptible to me.
