Audio Distorts/Clips After Video Is Imported

Hi,

After I import my video from a quicktime screen recording the audio clips in premiere pro. It plays fine in every other sort of audio player.  If I extract the audio and convert it to wav then import it and line it up, it solves this, but obviously this is a huge hastle and slows down work flow like crazy.

Does anyone have a solutione for this issue?
