Audio effect not showing up on export

I have a Pitch Shifter effect on a sound effect in an edit in Premiere. I rendered everything and it all sounds fine. When I export, I hear the sound effect WITHOUT the Pitch Shifter applied. I have this problem on all H264 exports, ProRes, MXF, etc...Any suggestions?
