Question

audio glitch after importing music file

Hi!

I've had no problems withe audio (mp3) til now.

After opening premiere pro 2018 and locating said audio file, the file has glitches and keeps repeating every second or so. After 2 mins there is no sound at all. The audio is supposed to last 4 mins.

I've tried to delete and reimport it multiple times. Seeing as that didn't work either, I opened up a new project and tried importing it there, but no luck. When I listen to the audio outside of premier it sounds normal and without problem.

Absolutely frustrated, seeing as I need to send the video to a client asap.

What could be the problem or solution for this? 😕😕

thank you in advance!

Use Audition to convert the file to wav ... replace the mp3 on the sequence with the wav conversion. Try that.

I'm having the same issue. I transcoded everything to wav in media encoder, but it carried over to the wav file. So now I have a mp3 that sounds fine everywhere else except adobe, and a wav file that does not sound right anywhere. Please advise ASAP!

Might try removing that media from the project, shutting down PrPro and clearing the cache and media cache database. Reboot. Launch PrPro and that project then re-import the WAV file.

Put it in the sequence and see if it works.
