Audio Import Issues in Premiere

Hi all, I have spent the day trying to solve the audio issues with Premiere (no Dolby encoder compatibility, so no audio in video files). I see that many, many others have had this same issue, but I haven't seen a solution that's worked for me out there. Hoping someone from Adobe has seen this issue enough that they would be able to help out with troubleshooting. I'm out of ideas on this one...

-Using Windows 7 and can't update via company policy.
-Re-installed Premiere Pro 7, as I had no issues before with it, but having them now.
-All MTS video files work well in Windows Media Player, etc., but audio will not import into Premiere.
-Have tried converting files with the Abode Media Encoder, which works, but when imported into Premiere, the audio files shows, but still does not work, despite adjusting the volume bar on the clip.

Hoping someone out there might know a good solution!

Thanks,

Mike

I'd like to jump in and help clarify this. Minnetonka's SurCode for Dolby Digital Encoder is a Dolby Digital/ Dolby Digital Plus encoder only. To bring Dolby decoding support back to the Adobe Platform, the only solution is to update to Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or macOS 10.11 or higher. Here is a link to the official recommendation from Adobe: Adobe Creative Cloud apps use native OS support for Dolby

Adobe removed Dolby support in programs due to licensing... if you must remain on Win7, you'll need to buy Dolby... I think one of these LONG message threads had information about buying Dolby

Many thanks! This tip led me to Minnetonka, the company that sells the software for $295. Adobe also confirmed that this is the appropriate seller for the software. It looks like there is no other way than to upgrade my computer to Windows10, which will be a process for me to get approvals on, but looks like the only way. Thanks for jumping in so quick to help out.
