Audio is repeating over and over again in Premiere Pro AND after exporting

I have a few projects where the audio is completely bugged and either repeats the same second of audio over and over again or the audio for each clip is completely wrong and taken from other parts of the same project. Premiere Pro is also extremely slow when using it and also freezes on export a good amount of the time, alongside crashing whenever trying to troubleshoot the problem. I am not sure what to do anymore, does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

This video is an example of what this audio glitch sounds like

Thank you,

David

Also, could you tell us a bit more about your version of Premiere Pro, what your timeline looks like, and where the audio originated from? What audio codec is it using?

In addition to Ann’s suggestion, I would recommend converting your audio to a different format. Select it in the Timeline, then choose Clip > Render and Replace.

Trash the media cache and make sure audio hardware input in the preferences is set to no input.
