Audio playback muted when Premiere Pro window not in focus (alt-tab, clicking something else)

Good day!

My timeline audio playback is working fine when I'm on the Adobe Premiere Pro window.

But this is the scenario:

I play my timeline, then click the volume taskbar on my Windows to increase the audio.. the playback continues, but audio gets muted until I click back into the Premiere Pro window. So I check the volume again, and do it again if it's not enough (or I just tap the hotkeys on my keyboard, which is extra steps).

I remember I didn't have this problem before on a different device, but I also remember some devices did.

So maybe there's a setting to tweak, I hope someone can help me. Thank you!
