Audio previews and timeline playback are scrambled

Workign on adding music to a project. The audio I have is getting mutilated by Premiere. SFX, Music, VO, everything.

Doesn't matter which drive I try to pull from either, SSD or HDD the audio is scrambled to an unsable degree.

none provide a clear playback. Though I can play everything clearly outside of premiere.

Can't answer without some information. And really the best way to provide it is with a few screen-grabs dropped into your reply box.

Edit/Preferences audio hardware dialog box, and the Playback dialog box also.
