Audio Previews (Renders/Output) Taking Forever (40 minutes for a single frame)

When exporting "Audio Preview" time takes nearly an hour when normally that would be done instantaneously. Just to export a single frame takes 40 minutes.

When it does finally finish hours later there is no sound in the export. Everything plays fine in the timeline.

Any help much appreciated. I need to be able to export these videos out (with working sound) asap.

I trashed preferences, restarted, deleted cache. I don't know what else to do.

I don't have this problem with any other project. So I tried copy and pasting sequence clips into new sequence in new project. Doesn't help.

What seems to be happening is that Premiere is attempting to render audio previews for the entire sequence, even if your Export Source Range is set to In/Out points.

My work around is to copy the segment I wish to export to a temp sequence and export from there.  A bit of a kludge, but much faster.

I'm having the same problem.  I read that someone thought that it was a bit-rate issue between the media and the sequence.  My media is 24-bit and the sequence is 32-bit floating, but there's no way to change the sequence to 24-bit ... so I'm not sure that helps.

Any advice you could give would be very helpful.

Thanks.
