Audio problem Premiere Pro .mp4 files - low quality audio
Hello,
I have some issues with playing .mp4 files in PP. I know PP doesn't really like .mp4 files with audio not loading etc.
I have made some screen recordings and the output file is saved in .mp4 format. It plays without problem in the W10 Media Player (the audio is sharp and clear). It sound the same way it sounded at the time of the recording. However, once I play it in PP or VLC, the quality of the sound drops. It sounds echo-ish, muffled or as if it has been compressed to a lower quality.
I already tried deleting the cache and peak maps.
Converting the audio files to .wav through audition (sounds crappy in audition too btw).
Importing the file as a new sequence instead of drag and dropping.
With no results.
I can't figure out where to look at for a solution. Is it my PP and VLC player or vice versa? Do I need to upscale my audio to get it to the quality I get from playing it in the W10 Media Player? Sounds unlogical to me but maybe I'm wrong.
This is the info that I get in PP
Type: MPEG Movie
File Size: 3,57 GB
Image Size: 1920 x 1080
Frame Rate: 60,00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Mono
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Mono
Total Duration: 00:12:43:22
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,0
VR Projection: None
Thank you in advance,
