audio reproduces poorly in timeline

Hello,

I hope you can help me. For some time, in all of my premiere projects, the audio reproduces poorly in the timeline, meaning it doesn't reproduce fluently. Therefore I can't use Premiere to edit even simple audio, because I have to export it to see how it would sound.

When I open the source in the project, there is no problem in reproducing it. I already tried pre rendering the audio, but it doesn't change anything. The audio is at 48000 hz, as well as the settings.

Thank you in advance!

Does this happen only in Premiere Pro?

I haven’t tried another program in a long time, so I can’t say for sure. But reproducing music o videos in general, is no problem. I don’t think it’s a problem of the computer

    Is it mp3?

If so, convert to wav before importing into Premiere Pro.
