Audio scrub turns itself off

"Play audio while scrubbing" turns itself off every time I close Premiere pro. So when I start the programme, I have to tick the empty box.

Why?

I use PP 12.1.2

    Sorry for the trouble. It seems like an issue with corrupted preferences. Try resetting the preferences and check the issue.

    I figured it out. there is a shortcut key for the play audio while scrubbing that I have been accidentally using which turns the setting on and off.

    No it did not help. This happens from time that it turns itself off.
