Audio scrub turns itself off

"Play audio while scrubbing" turns itself off every time I close Premiere pro. So when I start the programme, I have to tick the empty box.

Why?

I use PP 12.1.2

I figured it out. there is a shortcut key for the play audio while scrubbing that I have been accidentally using which turns the setting on and off.

Hi @Magslag ,

The issue is likely the keyboard shortcut rather than corrupted preferences. In Premiere Pro, Shift+S toggles “Play audio while scrubbing,” so accidentally pressing that shortcut can turn the option off.

If you don't use the shortcut, you can remove or change it in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.

No it did not help. This happens from time that it turns itself off.

Sorry for the trouble. It seems like an issue with corrupted preferences. Try resetting the preferences and check the issue.
