Audio sounds tinny after export

So I'm trying to export this short I'm working. It sounds fine on the timeline but whenever I export the audio sounds compressed and tinny. I recorded it at 48000 Hz 24 bit stereo and all the export settings seem to match so I'm just curious what I might be doing wrong because I've used this same recorder with the same settings for multiple films and have never changed the settings or had this issue.
