Question

Audio stutters played at 2x on source monitor then video in timeline stutters at normal speed (15.4)

Hi,

I use Premiere 15.4 on my macbook pro m1 8 Gb RAM. When I play clips on the source monitor at 2x or more, the audio repeats a couple of words 3 times almost every 3 seconds of the clip. It happens 90% of the time. If that doesn't happen, a loud pop is heard. The pop is also heard when playing 2x on the timeline.

Weird thing is when the clip's audio on the source monitor stutters, the video in the timeline starts to run choppy at normal speed but the audio is fine.

Right now it's happening with the Source Monitor at any quality playing clips Prores 422, 4K, 23.976 fps from RED KOMODO and with a sequence 1080p also at any quality and Fx muted. I tried other clips and codecs and the same thing happens. Render preview is in Prores 422 1080.

Sometimes it is solved by changing the workplace, others by closing the project, but it happens very often and makes it very difficult for me to work.

Thanks to anyone who can help me with this issue.

Daniel

One thing I forgot. Audio Hardware Default Input is set at No Input.
