Audio Sync Drifts when working with Facebook Exported Videos

I have been trying to edit some videos that my boss has posted on Facebook. It is an easy enough thing to just export the video to my hard drive but I have no idea what codec Facebook is using that when I import the file to Premiere Pro CC the audio sync slowly but surely drifts so that, by the end of the video, the sync is way out. You can see this drift here: Drive Talk Subway Elect Danny DeSantis Willowdale Toronto Ward 18 - YouTube

Any thoughts on correcting this error because I have 2 more videos that I need to work on.

Thank you for any assistance.

The workaround for VFR files that don't work, is to convert them before import to constant frame-rate. The most common option was handbrake.

Thank you Stan and Ann, That seems to have worked... right up until I did an edit and then everything went south again. The hunt continues.

As Stan says you need to convert the files to CFR before bringing them into Premiere.

Does not say which build you are using.

I think I have discovered part of the problem:

Both videos are showing frame rates that are NOT 24 fps. They seem to play fine when I double click on them, VLC I gather compensates for the weird frame rates. So now the issue is: Can I get Premiere Pro CC to convert these frame rates to 24fps?

Variable Frame Rate (VFR) support was added in a relatively recent PR update. What specific dot version of PR are you using?

Generally, they would just not import. So you probably have a version that supports it.

How are you creating the sequence? Your audio is also not a typical setting. So be sure you create the sequence by dragging one clip to the "new" icon.

I don't know enough about the new PR methods for VFR. Don't add the second clip in the beginning. See what you get with separate sequences, one for each clip.

Premiere Pro CC 12.1.2 build 69. I am assuming this is current because I have a Creative Cloud account and they are always pushing updates.
