Question

"Audio synchronization failure" - I'm trying to auto sync very simple interview audio from 2 cams (so that the video will be synced), yet keep getting this message. Have tried a few things - it has worked in the past, what's up?

Tried using shorter clips, selecting channels, raising/lowering audio levels… still not working. What’s up?

Don’t. Use the multicam ... select the clips and any external audio in the bin, right-click, create multicam. Select how you want the audio handled. Done.

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...

    Hi Susan,

Here are a few additional approaches that often help:

    • Use the cleanest audio reference (e.g., the camera or recorder with the clearest dialogue).

    • Trim clips to the sections with clear speech, avoid long silences or overlapping noise.

    • Verify matching sample rates across clips (48 kHz is recommended).

    • Sync via timecode or markers if available, this bypasses waveform matching.

If possible, test with a short segment that contains only strong dialogue. This usually confirms whether the issue is with clip content or another factor.
