Audio tracks and channels

This is incredibly easy to do with submixes. Here are the steps:

1. Create a sequence with multichannel audio: Go to File > New > Sequence. In the New Sequence window under the Tracks tab, set Mix to Multichannel and Number of Channels to 4.

2. Add 1 submix track: Go to Sequence > Add Tracks and add 1 audio submix track. Leave the track type as Stereo. It will be named Submix 1.

3. Route the submix: In the Audio Track Mixer, go to the Submix 1 track and click the Set Track Output Channel Assignments button (under the Pan dial on the right). Tick channels 3-4 (channels 1-2 are ticked by default).

4. Assign tracks to your submix: In the Audio Track Mixer, go to each track that includes audio of the crowd or announcer, and change its Track Output Assignment (at the top of the track) from 'Mix' to 'Submix 1.'

Now any track that has been assigned to your submix will be sent to channels 1-2 and 3-4. Every other track will be assigned to only channels 1-2.
